"The World Through a Child's Eyes"

Kiddooo

Age: 3-5 Years

Have you ever wondered what the world would look like if it were created by your child’s hands? With a bit of creativity and everyday materials, you can help them build a miniature version of the world that becomes not only a playground but also a learning space. This activity develops your child’s imagination, spatial thinking, and encourages collaboration with adults.

You won’t need to search for special supplies for this activity—everything you need can be found at home or outside in the yard. Look for small items that can be used to create a world—pebbles, toy animals, small sticks, fabric scraps, or even empty toilet paper rolls. All of these can become mountains, rivers, forests, or cities. For example, a pile of small stones can turn into a mountain, while a plastic container can become a lake. Let your child lead the creative process while you simply assist and encourage them to find new solutions.

Encourage your child to create their tiny world on a table, the floor, or even outside on the grass. Together, you can discuss where each part should go—perhaps the forest should be near the mountains, and the town by the river? Build houses, trees, and animal habitats using whatever you have on hand. Let your child step into the role of an architect or city planner, showing how their imagination can take shape in reality. You can even create small stories about the characters living in these “towns,” helping your child understand how people and nature interact with one another.

This activity not only enhances your child's creativity and spatial thinking but also promotes the development of social skills. Your child learns to collaborate, plan, and solve problems. The shared creative process strengthens your bond and gives your child confidence. Creating this “world” helps them realize that ideas and fantasies can become real, meaningful projects, where everything depends on their own decisions.
