🧸 Materials: Paper bag, string, newspaper, tape
📍 Location: Safe, open outdoor area with gentle wind
💡 Goal: Encourage movement, imagination, and connection with nature
⏱️ Duration: 20–30 minutes
👶 Age Group: 3–6 years

Preparation and Creative Making
Invite your child to craft their very own “wind traveler”—a light, whimsical figure that dances in the breeze. Roll up some newspaper to form the body, slide on a paper bag like a cape, and add yarn for hair or a tail. Tie a string to the figure and it’s ready to fly! Step outside and let the wind carry it—watch how it twirls, rises, and glides.
Reflection and Storytelling
After the play, encourage your child to imagine: where is their wind traveler going? Maybe it’s soaring over mountains, oceans, or playing hide-and-seek with the clouds. Talk about how the wind moves and how the traveler might feel. These conversations spark imagination, build storytelling skills, and nurture a sense of wonder and connection with nature.
