Everything you need is probably already at home – flour, eggs, tomatoes, cheese, vegetables, and spices. Let the child participate in all stages of cooking: mixing the dough, cutting vegetables (with your help), or arranging ingredients on the pizza. Talk about where the dish originated from, its traditions, and why it is popular in that country. In this way, the child will learn not only about food but also about people, their way of life, and their values.
Turn the cooking process into a small celebration – play music that matches the culture of the country, create a cozy environment where everyone feels like they're in a restaurant. You can even create a menu with the child’s drawings and dish names. Once the meal is ready, everyone can taste it together and discuss what flavors they like and what they’ve learned about the culture.
